This place was never meant for what happened inside

She had given birth just twelve hours earlier. Not in a warm room. Not somewhere safe. But on the cold floor of an ATM booth. People came and went. Machines hummed. Doors opened and closed. And there she was, thin, exhausted, and terrified, curled around eight tiny newborn puppies, trying to protect them with a body that had already given everything it had. When we first saw her, she was hiding her face. Not aggressive. Not defensive. Just small. Ashamed. Vulnerable. It was clear she hadn’t chosen this place. She had chosen survival. The order had already been given to remove her. The space wasn’t meant for animals. But how could anyone look at her and not stop? Her ribs showed. Her eyes were dull with exhaustion. Still, every time one of her puppies moved, she shifted herself closer, shielding them from the cold and from the noise of the outside world. She was doing everything she could. Submit a Story

Every animal has a story.

Some are quiet. Some are painful. Some change a life forever.

At PawPawTales, we share true stories about animals who were seen when it mattered most. If you have a story that deserves to be remembered, you’re welcome to submit it here.

What Kind of Stories We Accept

We publish real stories about animals that fit one of these paths:

  • Survival against real odds

  • Abandonment followed by care and love

  • Life on the streets that led to a home

  • Medical recovery and long healing journeys

  • Senior animals finding love late in life

  • Humans who made a choice that changed everything

If your story does not have a clear emotional journey, it may not be a fit.

What We Ask From You

To keep stories honest and respectful, please include:

  • A short summary of the animal’s situation

  • What changed and who stepped in

  • The outcome or current status

  • Any names you want us to use (animal, human, rescue)

  • Images you own or have permission to share

You do not need to write perfectly. We will edit for clarity while keeping the heart of your story intact. This space is built on trust. We protect it.

How to Submit

Send your story and images to: [pawpawtales.info@gmail.com] or drop a message at our facebook page -> [Facebook]

If your story is selected, it may be edited for length and clarity before publication. We may also reach out with questions to ensure accuracy.

A Final Note

Not every story we receive can be published. That does not make your story unimportant. It simply means we must protect the emotional integrity of this space.

Thank you for caring enough to share.
